Biodegradable Roman Water Urn

Description

Biodegradable Roman Water Urn – For Water or Land Burial

Inspired by the elegance of ancient history, our Biodegradable Roman Water Urn is a faithful replica of urns used over a thousand years ago. Crafted from natural materials, this eco-friendly urn is designed to biodegrade completely, making it the perfect choice for an environmentally conscious farewell.

Each urn comes with a secure seal, allowing it to be safely displayed at home before the ceremony. When the time comes, you can choose to commit it to the water – in the sea, a river, or a lake – or bury it in the ground where natural moisture will help it return gently to the earth.

Elegant Design and Natural Materials

• A traditional, authentic look

• Fully biodegradable – no harmful chemicals or synthetic materials

• Non biodegradable keepsake available

Float and Submersion

This urn will sink quickly due to the weight and the hole in the base, the ashes wont fall through this hole due to the inner bag.

Dimensions & Capacity

• Height: 22cm

• Maximum Diameter: 19cm

• Capacity: Approximately 3 litres – suitable for one set of adult ashes

Perfect for Water Burial Ceremonies

Water burials offer a peaceful and dignified way to say goodbye. During the ceremony, you may wish to cast flower petals, light a biodegradable floating candle, or write messages on our Promises Notelets to accompany your loved one on their journey. Many people find comfort in visiting a body of water afterwards, knowing it holds a connection to their loved one.

Guidance and Aftercare

We recommend using these urns in deeper water, below the low tide line. If your ceremony is on a boat, ask the skipper for the exact coordinates and record them on the Ashes Register for future generations.
