Elaine is an artist based in Devon. She started her journey into memorial art when a client asked if she could incorporate ashes of her mother into a joyful painting.
Having lost both of her parents, Elaine loved this idea as her mother was also an artist and she loved the idea of having mum in a joyful piece displayed in her home.
Elaine then set about researching the science behind the respectful safe handling and incorporation of ashes into original pieces of art and her first two pieces lovingly incorporated her mothers ashes.
She is the first person in the world to work with a forensic laboratory to develop a special stabilising agent to offset the very high PH levels that ashes contain.
Her ethos and work has attracted widespread media attention and she receives interest in her paintings from around the world.
Elaine only works on one memorial art piece at a time, ensuring that each loved one is handled with the same care and reverence as for her mothers pieces. Her most frequently requested pieces are Seascapes, Memory Hearts, Memory Meadows and her one of a kind abstracts, incorporating ashes into fluid acrylic paint in colours chosen by the client, resulting in a truly spectacular original painting.

Memory Meadow
This is a joyous acrylic meadow scape painted on a Birchwood board.
Ashes are mixed with a scientifically developed stabilising agent to neutralise PH levels and added to the paint.
This comes in one standard size of 13” x 9” with larger sizes available on request.
Sea of Memories
A unique acrylic fluid art painting on a canvas size of your choice.
Many people chose to scatter their loved one’s ashes into the sea but don't want to part with all of the ashes and ask me to create a seascape that they can enjoy in their home.
Seascapes are created on a canvas size of your choice which can then be framed at an additional cost if required.
I also offer a deep edge canvas option which allows me to run the design down the edges of the canvas to create a stunning 3d effect painting.
This is a fluid pour technique that uses heat, air and movement to create a stunning abstract one of a kind piece and the example is for illustration only.
Bespoke Abstract Memorial Art Piece
A totally bespoke original abstract acrylic pour painting, incorporating the ashes of your loved one.
This can incorporate colours of your choice that either reflect the favourite colours of your special person or those that lend itself to compliment your colour scheme, creating a piece that’s loved, enjoyed and displayed in a special place in your home.
This technique uses moment, air and heat to create a stunning abstract piece.
Memory Hearts
This framed piece is a beautiful relief effect heart incorporating your loved one's ashes in the heart shape. Each heart is a completely unique design, can have names or dates incorporated into the design. It is finished in colours of your choice.
She has also been asked to use the same technique to replicate a sheep (to celebrate a sheep farming mummy) and a leaping Marlin!
