Ann makes individually hand built ceramic funerary urns using stoneware clay.
Inspiration for decoration and often the shape of an urn comes from the natural world – seed heads, leaves and shells being a favourite choice. An interest in ancient standing stones with their carved decoration and symbols
can also be evidenced in her work.
Most of Ann’s work is commission led. She welcomes design input from clients who wish to help create a unique piece to celebrate the life of a loved one often reflecting their character or interests. Becoming involved in the process has brought comfort to some and helped at a most difficult time.
Funerary urns can be made in varying sizes from those to contain a portion to ones intended for the whole of the remains. Groups of urns for those wishing to share the remains can also be made.
