The Process – What to Expect
Once you place your order, we’ll send a secure ashes collection kit with everything you need. You only need to return a small teaspoon of ashes per dove. After we receive them:
Your ashes are carefully stored and labelled
Our artisan glassmakers create your dove by hand
The finished piece is cooled, checked, and sent to you securely
Please allow 6 to 8 weeks from the time we receive the ashes to complete your piece.

Even prettier than I had expected, a lovely soft opaque white with beautifully subtle, almost transparent ribbons of my Mum’s ashes floating through the body of the bird. It’s also a nice weight for its size. I searched a lot of websites for a glass bird & this was the prettiest. My bird is a less rounded wren-like shape than the website picture and more of a dove-like bird shape with a very finely defined beak, and more visible definition around the wing area. I love mine but would still have been just as happy if the more rounded shape had arrived. I guess this is because they’re handmade individually so each one is uniquely shaped depending on the crafts person making it. I think its a bonus that each bird is unique. The bird is on the fireplace mantle next to a photo of me & my Mum laughing together at something my brother had just said when he snapped the photo years ago outside on a summer’s day in the garden, and for me, it’s a way to make me feel my Mum is still close. I think the bird manages to interpret who we’re remembering according to who our loved one was. For me, the bird feels subtle, elegant, small but strong just as my dear Mum was. It’s hard to describe how much I miss my Mum but it’s surprised me how comforting this bird is & the knowledge it will always be with me.
