Description

Sikh Khanda Biodegradable Water Urn

Khanda Sikh Water Urn.  Made of a clay material with a vegetable gel bond. Designed to dissolve completely in water, a stylish design that is perfect for a Sikh Water Ceremony. You can place the sealed urn directly into the water. However the lid doesn’t have to be sealed, so you can pour the ashes directly onto the water then place the urn into the water too, if you prefer. The urns have holes in the bottom to allow water to enter quickly so that they gracefully sink when placed into water.

The Khanda is the symbol of the Sikh faith. It is constructed of three symbols:

  • A double-edged khanda sword in the centre
  • A chakkar a steel ring used in battle – the circle in the middle
  • Two single-edged swords, or kirpan, crossed at the bottom.

Each urn comes with a biodegradable ashes bag, this makes transferring the ashes into the urn a little easier. It also comes with glue so that you can securely seal the urn.

Perfectly designed for a water burial in the sea, a lake or river.

A huge thank you for making the ordering of the Khanda Urn so simple. The Urn was admired by every family member and the Khanda truly befitted our mother, a faithful Sikh lady. The Urn itself was beautifully made, smooth and easy to deposit into the waters of the river, it was remarkable to see it disperse into the water so quickly. The large number of family members are now aware of the biodegradable urn and no doubt shall place their orders too. Thank you again.

A huge big thank you for making the entire process of ordering the urn to explaining the way the urn works. My entire family was amazed at the quality and detail of the Khanda Urn, it truly befitted out mother and what she represented in her lifetime. The Sikh symbol was appreciated by everyone.

A wholehearted thank you to Scattering Ashes, for making the purchase of the Urn so simple. It was a beautiful urn, polished, well made, the Sikh khanda symbol befitted our mother’s Sikh faith. Each and every person that saw the urn was duly impressed with it, the fact it was biodegradable, holding and depositing the ashes inside the water in one swoop was truly respectful. We all witnessed the urn rapidly dissolving in the water, a truly remarkable feature.

Thank you from myself and my entire family

Thank you everything I had ordered had arrived in time at Valentine’s and all went as smoothly and sombrely like the funeral did.

The Urn in particularly with the Sikh symbol was highly appreciated by the family along with the notelets as all the adults and children had so many messages to say to my beloved husband. I highly appreciate you and team getting everything out in time.

    Many thanks

    Kind regards

    Katy
