Footprints – Water Bio Urn

Description

Footprints Water Bio Urn – Sand & White Quartz Finish

The Footprints Water Bio Urn offers a calm and symbolic way to say goodbye. Designed for ashes water burial ceremonies, its gentle texture and delicate footprints capture the feeling of a final, peaceful journey. The urn comes in two finishes – soft buff sand or shimmering white quartz – each one unique, natural, and beautifully crafted.

Eco-Friendly and Symbolic Design

This Footprints Water Bio Urn is made from natural clay combined with a plant-based gelatin. The result is a fully biodegradable urn that breaks down naturally over time. The footprint design symbolises love, memory, and the steps we take through life. The sustainable materials make this urn ideal for Hindu, Sikh, and interfaith ceremonies, or for anyone who wishes to leave a light environmental footprint.

How It Works

Each Footprints Water Bio Urn includes a biodegradable ashes bag. Simply place the ashes inside the bag and seal the urn. When gently placed on the water, it floats briefly before slowly sinking. As it dissolves, the ashes are released naturally, returning to the water in a serene and respectful way.

• Heavier ashes (approx. 3.5 kg) will cause the urn to sink almost immediately.
• Lighter ashes (approx. 2.5 kg) will allow the urn to float for a few minutes before submerging.
• The urn is durable enough to withstand drops from up to 7 metres without breaking.

Dual Purpose – Water or Land Burial

Although designed for water burials, the Footprints Water Bio Urn can also be used for natural land burials. When buried, it gradually returns to the earth with the help of soil moisture, ensuring a fully eco-friendly farewell. This flexibility makes it a perfect choice for families planning joint or separate ceremonies.

Capacity & Dimensions

• Volume: 3 litres – suitable for one adult’s ashes
• Small version: Under 1 litre – ideal for shared or keepsake portions

Creating a Meaningful Ceremony

Water burials are calm, natural, and deeply moving. To make the occasion even more special, many families choose to include simple symbolic gestures such as:

• Scattering flower petals across the surface
• Writing personal messages on biodegradable Promises Notelets
• Floating a natural beeswax candle in a coconut shell

We recommend using this urn in deeper water, below the low tide line. For inland locations, please check local environmental regulations before holding a ceremony. If your service takes place at sea, ask the skipper for GPS coordinates so you can record the location on our Scattering Ceremony Record.

Discreet Packaging & Easy Transport

Every Footprints Water Bio Urn is supplied in a sturdy, discreet box that meets airport security screening standards. The urn fits in the overhead compartment of most airliners, making it easy to travel with your loved one’s ashes. Most urns are kept in stock and can be shipped quickly using tracked UK delivery.

Record on the Ashes Register

After the ceremony, we recommend logging the details on the Ashes Register. Recording the location and date creates a lasting memorial for future generations to visit and remember.

If you’re searching for a biodegradable Footprints Water Bio Urn for a peaceful water burial, this handcrafted design combines beauty, symbolism, and sustainability.
