Scattering ceremony record. Many of us wish to be scattered on the wind, over water, or buried in a favourite spot. But what about future generations, won’t they want to know where a loved one was scattered, why that location was chosen and maybe even visit it?
We always recommend that you keep a record, when you do something as symbolic as scattering a loved ones ashes you think you will always remember the exact details, but in our experience the memories often fade and things get forgotten or distorted. Some commentators have said that with out knowing where our loved ones rest we are scattered we are creating a lost generation, ordinarily if you scatter at a garden of remembrance a recording will be made. However, most of us don’t to use them, we want somewhere meaningful to that person while they were alive. And this location needs to be recorded and kept with the family records.
We have developed a range of Scattering Ceremony Records which can be used on their own or will complement our ‘Promises’ farewell message notelets. Fill them in after your scattering ceremony and put them in a safe place for an eternal record for future generations.
