Ceramic Pots for Ashes by Tim Gee
Choosing ceramic pots for ashes can be a lengthy process but you will know in your heart when you find the right one.
Tim Gee has created two gorgeously textured ranges of ceramic urns exclusively for Scattering Ashes and we couldn’t be more honoured. We have long admired Tim’s work and when he agreed to put together a range of urns we were delighted. He has won so many awards for his ceramic skills and has exhibited throughout the UK and abroad.
Tim, a former chef/patissier, has an incredible ability to use his precision to make vessels that demand to be touched, held and loved. Tim focuses on the textural nature of clay. Starting in the late 1990s with very fine porcelain work before becoming more interested in firing and glazing. Each pot has taken years of research and experience to make this beautiful. A true master of shape, texture and glaze.
Based in South Devon Tim is yet another amazing local artist that we are proud to have the opportunity to work with.

This sturdy ceramic urn is hand thrown and has a beautiful shiny inner glaze that contrasts beautifully with the tactile exterior. The light blue colour evokes the silvery moon at a new lunar phase.

The Callisto Urn
Callisto means ‘most beautiful’ in Greek so it the name we have given to this beautiful urn. The Greek mythology Callisto was a nymph transformed by Hiera into a bear and then by Zeus into the Big Dipper. A taller ceramic urn that is hand thrown and has a beautiful shiny inner glaze that contrasts beautifully with the dark blue exterior. The dark blue colour evokes the sky at night.
