How big does a cremation urn need to be? Different urns have different capacities, different people once cremated will result in different amounts of ash being produced.

There is no exact rule for this, but it generally it relates to the weight of the person when they were alive (the reason is at the bottom of the page*)

We have put it an approximate guide into two tables one imperial and one metric.
