Ceremonies that feel personal and true to your person
I’m Jodie, a celebrant who creates ceremonies for funerals, celebrations of life and the scattering of ashes. I write bespoke scripts that are shaped entirely from your stories and the way you want the moment to feel. Nothing generic, just something that sounds like your person.
Living so close to the coast, I often support families with ceremonies at sea, from special moments on the shoreline to trips out on the water. But I also work in woodlands, forests, gardens, favourite walking routes, crematoria, and those tucked‑away places that only matter to one family. Some families even choose to scatter ashes from the air, creating a moment that’s as expansive and unique as the person they’re honouring.
I’m calm, practical and not easily thrown. I pay attention to the things that help people feel comfortable; where everyone gathers, how the moment flows, how to keep it warm and personal. You talk, I listen, and I shape a ceremony that feels grounded, natural and true to them.
Some families want something simple and gentle. Others want a bit of humour, a touch of storytelling, or something that leans more towards a celebration than a goodbye. Whatever the tone, and wherever the place, I’ll help you create a ceremony that feels honest, human and beautiful.
